Harbor is a native macOS file manager for local files, SFTP, FTP, SSH terminal sessions, backups, editing, and system monitoring.
Quick checks
- For full local folder access, grant Harbor Full Disk Access in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Harbor's General settings show whether it's already granted.
- For SFTP or SSH issues, verify host, port, username, key, and ssh-agent availability. Either pane can connect — use the pane's content switcher to open Servers or Quick Connect on that side.
- The SSH terminal supports full colors, vim/htop, and tab-completion; pick its color scheme and text size in Settings → Appearance, or resize live with
⌘+/⌘−. - Servers, backups, and settings sync via iCloud; passwords and keys sync through iCloud Keychain when it's enabled in System Settings.
- For update checks, set Harbor's update feed to your website's
update.phpURL. - For diagnostics, enable Remote Diagnostics in Harbor Settings and set
api/checkin.phpas the endpoint.
